The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity plans to modify the existing indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract W81K04-23-D-0006 with Agiliti Health Inc to increase the ceiling limit, citing the company as the only responsible source capable of sustaining critical medical device maintenance services across the Defense Health Agency enterprise. This modification is essential to meet unforeseen surges in demand driven by organizational realignments that added new customers, coupled with a significant decline in the military and civilian biomedical technical workforce. The contract supports over 25 percent of medical device sustainment services for military treatment facilities, and failure to approve the increase would severely disrupt the Department of Defense’s ability to fulfill its medical sustainment mission, directly impacting national defense readiness. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 811210 with a small business size standard of $30 million and falls under a presolicitation notice, meaning no formal solicitation has been issued and competition is not currently anticipated. Interested parties may submit technical and cost data to demonstrate their capability to perform the same services, but submission does not guarantee eligibility for competition. All submissions must be emailed as PDF, Word, or Excel files to Kasey Carroll at Kasey.l.carroll.civ@health.mil by 9:00 a.m. EST on July 27, 2026, with no phone inquiries permitted. The government retains full discretion to determine whether to proceed with a competitive process based on the responses received, and all information submitted will be used exclusively to evaluate the necessity for competition.
