Solicitation HSCG84-14-Q-B17070 was issued by the Department of Homeland Security, specifically the U.S. Coast Guard Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center, for the procurement of modular furniture for the USCG Sector Juneau in Alaska. Falling under NAICS code 337214, the project involves the acquisition of commercial supplies including workstations, private offices, and lateral files. The technical requirements are governed by the Coast Guard Wide Administrative Space Standards of April 2012, which dictate net square feet allowances, LEED compliance, and sound transmission classes. Detailed furniture layout drawings and technical specifications provide specific configurations for various module sizes ranging from 48 to 120 square feet, including designations for the MST Bull Pen and Pipe Locker. The procurement process underwent several modifications through a series of amendments. While initially set aside for Women-Owned Small Businesses, Amendment 0002 removed the set-aside to allow for full and open competition and updated the trade requirement from the Buy American Act to the Trade Agreements Act. Subsequent amendments extended the offer deadlines and provided critical clarifications to potential contractors. Amendment 0003 specifically confirmed that the solicitation is unrestricted, will not be awarded via a GSA Schedule contract, and that Auto CAD files would be reserved for the successful offeror. The point of contact for this acquisition is Christina M. Grimstead.
