This sole source acquisition, managed by the Department of Defense under solicitation W91ZRS19R5002, awards a contract to Monaco Enterprises for the upgrade and relocation of the Monaco D-21 Central Fire system. The project involves upgrading the existing system to the Windows 10 platform and moving the equipment from Security Forces to the fire station following a major renovation. The government has determined that Monaco Enterprises is the only reasonably available source for these services because they are the original manufacturer. This exclusivity is critical to ensure the reliability and official certification of the fire detection systems, which is necessary to mitigate liability and prevent potential death, injury, or loss. Market research confirmed that no other authorized sources can perform the installation and provide the required safety certifications.
