MTU Re-manufactured Diesel Engines

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5 as supplement with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. The RFQ number is N00167-17-Q-0076. The provisions and clauses included and/or incorporated in this solicitation document are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular. This RFQ incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-95 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to award a firm fixed price (FFP) purchase order from this solicitation under NAICS code 333618 and Size Standard is 1500 people. This is a Brand Name Only requirement. The Small Business Office concurs with the set-aside determination. The following supplies are required: 2 Each ENGINE, DIESEL, MTU Part Number: Re-Manufactured R16V2000M94 1939kW (2600 BHP) @ 2450 RPM Diesel Engines; Bill of Material should match Engine Serial Number: 51600889; CREDIT FOR EXCHANGE OF 2 EXISTING ENGINES SERIAL NUMBERS: 536106105 AND 536106110. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote, conforming to the solicitation that will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The Government intends to evaluate all timely quotes received from eligible offerors on a lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) basis. See 52.212-2- EVALUATION OF PROPOSALS, incorporated into this solicitation for additional information regarding the evaluation process for this award.
