The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, Hudson Valley DDSO, is soliciting quotes for a design-only project to replace an existing diesel generator with a natural gas or propane fueled generator at the Mulford IRA located at 94 Mulford Road, Middletown, NY. The selected contractor must provide professional engineer stamped design drawings in PDF and CAD formats, ensuring the design includes a block and battery heater and an automatic transfer switch. All work must comply with the current National Electric Code and NYS Residential Code, and the final design is subject to approval by the OPWDD engineer. The project must be completed within 30 days of the award, and the contractor is required to provide a one-year warranty on all material and labor. This is a NYS Public Works project requiring the payment of prevailing wages and mandatory registration with the New York State Department of Labor per Labor Law 220-i. A mandatory site visit was scheduled for November 2nd or 3rd, 2026, and failure to attend renders a vendor ineligible to quote. The contract will be awarded to the most responsible and responsive vendor offering the lowest cost, provided they can demonstrate two years of relevant experience upon request. Subcontracting is generally not permitted without written OPWDD approval. Quotes must be submitted using the official Quote Proposal Form and include a detailed breakdown of costs, a reference list, and a substitute W-9 form by November 12th, 2026, at 12:30 PM.
