Solicitation # 36C26227Q0058
The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the NCO 22 Gilbert Network Contracting office, has issued a Sources Sought Notice and Request for Information to identify qualified sources for a gravimetric scale solution at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System in California. This is not a formal solicitation but a planning effort to gather market research and determine the availability of capable vendors under NAICS code 334519, which has a size standard of 600 employees. The government is seeking a solution for a base period plus four option years that must fully integrate with the existing BD Pyxis IV Prep workflow platform for sterile compounding documentation, ingredient verification, and quality assurance without requiring the replacement of the current system. The required solution must support direct transmission of weight measurements to the BD Pyxis IV Prep application, maintain existing electronic audit trails, and provide real-time alerts for ingredient weight variances. The selected vendor will be responsible for installation, operational verification, and ongoing technical support. Interested respondents must provide a detailed capabilities statement, business size status, and information regarding FDA clearance, Buy American Act compliance, and lead times. Responses, including optional general pricing for market research, must be submitted via email to the contracting officer by October 29, 2026, at 15:00 Pacific Local Time.

***NOAA's Acquisition & Grants Office, Western Acquisition Division-Boulder, Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR), Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) intends to negotiation, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 25.407, with Environmental Analytical Systems, out of Ontario, Canada for a HYDRO-BIOS model 444 141, Multi Sediment Trap with 24 bottles, Titanium Array. ***The sole source determination is based on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) requirement that Environmental Analytical Systems is the sole Canadian/US reseller of these German manufactured traps. At present, collaborative research institutions utilize the Environmental Analytical Systems sediment trap (24 rotating bottle trap, titanium array). This sediment trap, composed of a titanium frame with a 24 rotating cup trap, has a proven record of deployment in Arctic waters< -1 - C seawater for a year, and is small in size, a requirement not only for deck-space on the research vessels but also due to the short mooring construction required in very shallow waters such as the Chukchi and Bering Seas. Utilizing the same sediment trap will provide necessary continuity at the DBO study regions - allowing shared resources and personnel to work with instruments that employ the same physical setup, software and analyses and therefore lead to a higher success rate in deployment, recovery, and measurement comparison. Without continuity of this equipment, NOAA and EcoFOCI mission of providing data may be compromised during deployment (if it breaks), delays in analysis (impacting reporting to stakeholders and managers in Alaska), and/or the success of the overall DBO project. Delivery no later than January 30, 2023 to Seattle, WA. ***THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE IS AVAILABLE. HOWEVER, FIRMS THAT BELIEVE THEY CAN FULLY MEET THE GOVERNMENT'S REQUIREMENTS MAY SUBMIT SUBSTANTIATING DOCUMENTATION IN WRITING TO THE IDENTIFIED POINT OF CONTACT WITHIN 15 DAYS AFTER PUBLICATION OF THIS SYNOPSIS. SUCH DOCUMENTATION WILL BE EVALUATED SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER OR NOT TO CONDUCT THIS PROCUREMENT ON A COMPETITIVE BASIS. A DETERMINATION BY THE GOVERNMENT NOT TO CONDUCT A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT, BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE, IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE.

NOAAPort Replacement Capabilities
Solicitation # 142083-27-0002
The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the National Weather Service (NWS) have issued Request for Information (RFI) No. 142083-27-0002 to conduct market research for the replacement of the legacy NOAAPort Satellite Broadcast Network (SBN). The government is seeking information on innovative, high-reliability distribution capabilities—which could be cloud-based, terrestrial, satellite, or hybrid—to deliver mission-critical weather data to a geographically dispersed user community. The replacement system must support the exchange, ingestion, processing, and distribution of data products and must integrate with the NWS Hydrometeorological Interactive Virtual Environment (HIVE) and the Centralized Integrated Real-Time Repository for Unified Services (CIRRUS) using common internet protocols such as APIs and MQTT. This notice is for planning purposes only and is not a solicitation for award; no funds have been authorized or appropriated for this effort at this time. The NWS intends to deactivate the legacy SBN as early as August 31, 2027, and is requesting industry feedback on technical architectures, cloud migration strategies, security protocols, and rough order of magnitude cost estimates. Interested respondents must submit their responses in Microsoft Word or PDF format to the designated points of contact by October 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The government is utilizing this RFI to inform its acquisition strategy and evaluate potential small business set-aside opportunities under NAICS code 541512.
