The City of Reading is requesting proposals for the MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATON FUND – GUIDE RAIL PROJECT. An electronic proposal, inclusive of all requested information and supporting documents, shall be submitted via the Pennbid Program (www.pennbid.procureware.com). Proposals shall be received until 2:00 PM October 3, 2024, at which time the proposal shall be opened publicly. Bidders are invited to be present at the Bid opening, located in Council Chambers, City Hall, 815 Washington Street, Reading, PA. Specifications and Proposal Forms for the above work can be obtained via Bonfire at www.pennbid.net. The work shall consist of the replacement of guide rail elements, including but not limited to, the removal of several trees to provide access, along Glen Road, Howard Place, and Spring Valley Road. The project is being funded by the Multimodal Transportation Fund Program. Funding requirements must be followed. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting for this project on September 4, 2024 10:00 AM Each proposal shall be accompanied by bid surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal.
