The United States Air Force's Operational Contracting, Infrastructure Support Flight at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, plans to increase the combined overall ceiling for the Multiple Award Construction Contract Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (MACC IDIQ) contracts held by Cornerstone Construction Services, Maron Construction Co., and Tantara Associates Corporation. This adjustment is authorized under statutory provisions allowing for limited source contract modifications when only one responsible source can meet agency requirements. The MACC IDIQ contracts support a variety of complex construction projects, including maintenance, sustainment, repair, and minor construction at multiple Air Force installations across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The contracts encompass all necessary management, labor, materials, equipment, and architectural engineering services required for these projects, which often involve multiple trades and detailed engineering design executed by licensed professionals. The contract ceiling increase, valued at approximately $15 million, is intended to ensure uninterrupted continuation of services through the end of the current ordering period on September 23, 2024, until a follow-on contract can be awarded. The notice emphasizes that this increase will not be competitively solicited and any input suggesting competitive awards must provide clear, compelling evidence of significant benefit to the Government. The decision to proceed without competition rests solely with the Government. This contract vehicle facilitates support to the 66th Air Base Group Civil Engineering team, enabling efficient execution of mission-critical construction and engineering projects at designated Air Force bases and annexes in the region.
