MUSIC BANDS - FREE CONCERT SERIES

The City of Conroe Parks and Recreation Department is soliciting proposals under RFP 1029-2026A for professional music bands to provide live entertainment for the Thursday Free Concert Series. The series consists of six performances held on Thursday evenings between March and June at Heritage Place in Downtown Conroe. Selected performers are expected to provide a diverse range of genres, including Country, Classic Rock, Pop, and Motown, to appeal to a broad audience. Bands must be ready to perform by 7:00 pm and play until 9:00 pm, providing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment for set-up and tear-down. Award decisions will be based on the best value to the City, with evaluations focusing on minimum specifications, pricing per event, and qualifications. Proposers must submit a completed bid packet via the OpenGov Procurement Portal, including a vendor questionnaire with links to live performance videos, audio recordings, and at least three to five references from comparable performances. The resulting contract will be issued as a blanket purchase order, with payments scheduled within 30 days of acceptance of services. Contractors must comply with various legal requirements, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, equal employment opportunity laws, and Texas Government Code prohibitions regarding lobbying and boycotts of Israel.
