The 21st Contracting Squadron, acting for the Department of Defense, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to SafeNet, doing business as Mykotronx, for thirty KSV-21 cryptographic cards. These cards are required for use in secure terminal equipment and will be delivered FOB Destination to Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. The acquisition is categorized under NAICS code 334290 and is identified by solicitation number FA2517-08-T-6208. The sole source justification is based on Mykotronx being the sole manufacturer of the cards and a missed deadline for utilizing existing NSA contracts. While this notice serves as a notification of intent to award, the government allows qualified sources to submit evidence of their ability to meet the requirements by September 22, 2008, to determine if a competitive procurement is necessary. Interested contractors must maintain current registrations with the Central Contractor Registration, Online Representations and Certifications Application, and Wide Area Workflow.
