6525--SEP 2026 Equipment Only Consolidation
Solicitation # 36A79727Q0002
Solicitation 36A79727Q0002 is a HUBZone Small Business set-aside issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs National Acquisition Center for the September 2026 Equipment Only Consolidation. This procurement focuses on High Tech Medical Equipment (HTME), specifically targeting various imaging systems such as XR RAD, XR US, XR CT, and XR MRI for delivery to multiple VA VISN networks and stations. Competition is strictly limited to current contract holders with the VA National Acquisition Center or the Defense Logistics Agency, Troop Support. Offers are due by February 3, 2027, and must remain valid for 180 days. The government will award based on best value, where non-price factors—specifically the availability of required features and the availability of service—are considered significantly more important than price. Technical evaluations will assess how well equipment meets functional requirements and the vendor's ability to provide local and virtual technical support, repair parts, and documentation. Vendors must provide individual product pricing, as bottom-line prices will be rejected, and must treat upgrade requests as forklift upgrades with separate trade-in values. Submissions must be uploaded as a single ZIP file to Box, following strict naming conventions and folder structures, and must be accompanied by a timestamped email to the Contracting Officer. Required documentation includes a completed pre-procurement assessment questionnaire for network-connected devices. Additionally, the contract specifies that while applications training is awarded with equipment, off-site training is excluded from delivery orders and must be handled as separate modifications.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for a Model N40 Neutron Irradiator. The NAICS code is 334517 and the Product/Service Code is P999. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Hopewell Designs, Inc. (HDI). The proposed action is for an N40 Neutron irradiator and associated technical data, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reason: the required model irradiator is exclusively produced by HDI. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 5/31/24. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 5/31/24 at 12:00 PM EST will be considered by the Government. Any questions must be received via e-mail by 5/28/24 at 2:00 PM EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries should be directed to Steven Besanko at contact@example.gov.
