Full Description

The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Mentor Graphics Corporation. This requirement is for the purchase of a Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) and Integrated Circuit (IC) layout software package and 1-year support with a perpetual hardware key that enables unlimited use on stand-alone systems without updates to the package. The equipment will be used by Government researchers to layout various types of circuits and MEMS devices for production of prototype devices and circuits. These devices and circuits are in support of work being carried under the portfolio projects at SSC Pacific. The software is only available through Mentor Graphics Corp. Based on the approved Justification and Approval (J&A) (which will be posted after award), only one responsible source and no other supplier or services will satisfy agency requirements in accordance with FAR 13.501(a). This notice of intent is NOT a request for quote. A determination by the government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the government.
