The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Command (ARDEC) intends to issue a sole source Request for Quote to The QT Company, 2350 Mission College Blvd, Suite 1020, Santa Clara, CA 95054-1563, CAGE Code 6C5L6 pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for QT Embedded Device Creation - VxWorks software which they are the only provider for this software and the associated support. This purchase is to procure the software for the M153 Common Remotely Operated Weapons Stations (CROWS) to enable the M153 CROWS Program of Record to be reproduced, recreated, and recompiled for post-production software that was delivered by the CROWS Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). There are no other authorized vendors for this software. The resultant contract shall be awarded as a twelve (12) month, Firm Fixed Price, commercial contract with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods utilizing FAR Part 12 streamlined procedures. The applicable NAICS Code for this is 541511. For this effort the contractor is to provide yearly maintenance for the QT Embedded Device Creation - VxWorks software licenses. These services support the other software licenses associated with the M153 CROWS used by the U.S. Army ARDEC. The CROWS OEM developed the source code using the Qt embedded Device Creation Software and no other application would meet this requirement. The QT Company is currently the only vendor providing QT Embedded Device Creation - VxWorks software support. THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). Further, this synopsis does not guarantee of a future RFQ and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government. Responses to this synopsis are not considered proposals/quotes, and, cannot be accepted by the Government to form a bidding contract.
