The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) proposes to demolish and remove seven unsafe, dilapidated structures within the Green Island Unit of the Napa-Sonoma Marshes Wildlife Area. These structures, built prior to 1981, pose ongoing safety and security concerns due to trespass and vandalism.
Additional features slated for removal include: All associated concrete foundations in the main house, approximately 1,350 linear feet of fencing, 540 square feet of concrete sidewalk, three concrete planter boxes, and one flagpole.
The project will improve site safety and support future habitat management.
