ACAN – NASA Falcon 525 Disassembly and Transport 25-58096 Doyle, Shawn Telephone: 343-551-3688 Shawn.Doyle@nrc-cnrc.gc.ca There are security requirements associated with this solicitation. CFTA and CKFTA apply to this ACAN. The Comprehensive Land Claim agreements will not apply Requirement The objective of this contract is to have the contractor move a Falcon 20G aircraft, serial #447 from NASA Langley, VA to Ottawa ON. Tasks include on-site disassembly and preparation for truck shipment, loading, transportation and unloading at destination. The aircraft will require removal of both wings, removal of both engines and the removal of the horizontal and vertical tails in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (to be provided by NRC). Engines will need to be prepared and packaged for truck shipping. Main landing gear to be removed and crated for truck shipping. Wings, tails and fuselage will need to be adequately secured/cradled on the truck(s). All materials related to packaging, cradles and/or transportation supports will be provided by the contractor. Crane services, lifting equipment and/or specialized dollies, rigs or disassembly tooling will be provided by the contractor (NRC will provide a crane in Ottawa). Aircraft cockpit windshields/windows will be adequately protected from potential road damage due to gravel, rocks, hail, etc. Note to Suppliers An ACAN will be posted on CanadaBuys.gc.ca for a period of 15 days, allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier. Statement of Capabilities Suppliers who consider themselves fully qualified and available to provide the goods, services or construction services described in the ACAN may submit a statement of capabilities in writing to the contact person identified in this notice on or before the closing date of this notice. The statement of capabilities must clearly demonstrate how the supplier meets the advertised requirements. Inquiries To ensure a response before the ACAN closing date, all enquiries about this requirement must be submitted in writing and received by the Contracting Authority at least five (5) calendar days prior to the ACAN closing date.
