The National Housing Trust Fund 2027 is a state grant opportunity administered by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Housing Production Unit to support the development of affordable rental housing. Projects must comply with 24 CFR Part 93, CPD Notice 16-14 environmental provisions, and the Uniform Construction Code, specifically requiring automatic fire suppression systems. Strict energy and water efficiency standards are mandated, including specific flow rates for plumbing fixtures and the use of Energy Star rated equipment. Final acceptance requires certification from a qualified third-party Energy Star consultant.
