Z--NC-MACKAY ISLAND NWR-HVAC REPLACEMENT AMENDMENT

The contract pertains to the replacement of an existing second-floor HVAC system at Quarters #30 on Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge in Knotts Island, North Carolina, under a total small business set-aside. Work includes removal and disposal of the current unit, installation of a new split-system HVAC with a minimum 14.3 SEER2 cooling efficiency, a 40,000–60,000 BTU propane furnace, and 10,000–15,000 BTU electric emergency heat strips, along with proper refrigerant recovery in compliance with EPA regulations, electrical connections per the National Electrical Code, and site restoration. Performance must adhere to OSHA, NEC, and applicable state and local codes, with system testing required to verify refrigerant charge, airflow, temperature split, and full operational modes.
