AI Contract Overview
The contract calls for the procurement of medicinal nebulizers, each complete unit including a mouthpiece, tee, 7 ft. tubing, and 6 in. flex tube, with a total quantity of 50 units requested. The packaging requirements emphasize commercial packaging standards as specified, ensuring that each unit is properly sealed and protected to prevent damage or breakage during transit. Units must be packed in appropriate exterior shipping containers capable of safe delivery at the lowest carrier rate to the designated delivery point. Additionally, all materials must conform to Medical Marking Standard No. 1, which supersedes prior military standards for identification and marking. This procurement is governed by a range of technical and quality requirements referenced in the DLA Master List, which applies according to the solicitation or award date depending on acquisition size. Specific clauses address packaging, removal of government identification from rejected supplies, and require bidders to specify the source and part number of the items supplied. The contract details a purchase request for 5 packaging groups (each containing 50 nebulizers), with delivery expected within 20 days after order. The solicitation is managed by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain MD SURG FSF office, with the place of performance at Annville, PA, and Vernon Stevenson designated as the primary point of contact.
