NETZSCH Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer

NASA Shared Services Center is Procuring a NETZSCH Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer as a sole source acquisition under FAR 12.102(a), designated as an 8(a) Sole Source set-aside with NAICS code 334516, and intends to award the contract exclusively to NETZSCH INSTRUMENTS NORTH AMERICA, LLC, identified as the sole provider of this specialized instrument. The acquisition is categorized as a commercial item procurement governed by FAR Part 12, with performance located at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, specifically at Building 31, Room 2018, and must be completed within an 8-week period. The instrument, designated as the STA 509 Jupiter Select ASC with a silicon carbide furnace operating from 25°C to 1600°C, includes an automatic sample changer, TG-DSC sample carrier system, MFC gas control block with three inputs and two outputs calibrated for multiple gases, software-controlled vacuum system with a two-stage pump, and required accessories such as calibration kits, sample pans and covers made of platinum-rhodium and alumina, a mass spectrometer, software extensions, USB-LAN adapters, and digital operating instructions on a USB stick.
