The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity is conducting market research through a Request for Information to identify qualified commercial sources capable of providing offsite sterilization services for Naval Hospital Pensacola in Florida. The requirement, identified by solicitation number HT9408-26-STERILIZATION, is scoped under NAICS code 561910 for Packaging and Labeling Services, though respondents may propose a more appropriate classification with justification. The government is seeking information on contractor capabilities, including a one-page statement demonstrating compliance with the Performance Work Statement, which outlines the need for comprehensive sterile processing of surgical instruments including cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, tracking, and logistics between the Sterile Processing Department and Main Operating Room. The contractor must perform weekly pickups of approximately 150 trays, return all items within a 72-hour turnaround time, maintain a defect rate of 5% or less, and ensure all packaging and sterilization conforms to ANSI/AAMI standards including the use of Class 5 or Class 6 chemical indicators and intact sterile barriers. The contractor must also sustain active ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality certifications, adhere to OSHA, CDC, and OEM guidelines, and ensure all personnel wear identification badges while on base.
