NHSWYICB - Wakefield Community Builder - Adults

The NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board has awarded the Wakefield Community Builder - Adults contract to NOVA – Wakefield District for a total value of 158,522.10 pounds. The contract term is scheduled to run from April 1, 2027, to March 31, 2029, with a potential extension available until March 31, 2030. This initiative is designed to ensure that voluntary, community, and social enterprise organisations are fully integrated into the community mental health framework. The programme focuses on bridging the gap between voluntary and statutory services by positioning Community Builders as the primary interface between VCSE organisations, Connecting Care Hubs, and Primary Care Networks. Key responsibilities include enhancing the existing social prescribing offer, identifying and delivering training and engagement workshops, and assisting third sector organisations in securing funding. Ultimately, the role aims to create a seamless connection between community-led support and the broader mental health offer provided by the connecting care team.
