The Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic has established the Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative information warfare technologies that support a wide range of warfighting domains. The RCO focuses on rapidly assessing emerging fleet needs and advancing Expeditionary Tactical Capabilities as well as Enterprise IT and Business Systems to maintain a technological edge for warfighters. To facilitate this, NIWC Atlantic has issued a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) under solicitation number N6523626S0001, which invites industry participants to submit cutting-edge commercial products or services addressing specific Areas of Interest (AOI) related to technological gaps. This CSO is continuously open for the posting of new AOIs but does not accept unsolicited responses without a specific AOI. The contract opportunity is part of the Department of Defense’s efforts to promote rapid prototyping and enhance innovation through commercial engagement. It targets businesses and organizations under NAICS code 541715 and is managed from NIWC Atlantic’s office in North Charleston, South Carolina. Interested parties are encouraged to monitor the solicitation on Sam.gov for AOI postings and submit technical solutions accordingly. Jessie Rehwoldt serves as the primary contact for inquiries, ensuring responsive communication in support of this initiative. This streamlined approach under 10 U.S.C. 3458 aims to quickly integrate novel, commercially available technologies into naval operations to strengthen warfighter capabilities.
