NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) intends to award a Sole Source contract to - GE Inspection Technologies 721 Visions Drive Skaneateles, NY 13152-6475 for Camera. See attached Sole Source Justification. PSNS & IMF will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition. The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is Sole Source only. In accordance with FAR 5.102, the required justification documentation is attached. This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 9am pm Pacific Standard Time, 30 September 2020. via email to contact@example.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
