NASA/NSSC has a requirement for quantity one, NORSAT Model ATOMSKU080 BDJ-CW will be used as a spare solid-state power amplifier in the GSFC HIWRAP radar [Click on the web link to access the specifications]. > NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to Norsat International Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The amplifier will be used as a swap in identical spare for the GSFC HIWRAP radar SSPA during NASA field campaigns. This spare part will have identical specifications in terms of power, size, and weight of the current unit. Norsat is the only vendor that can provide this identical unit since it would require significant development to make an identical unit. > NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort.
