Notice of Government's Intent to Sole-Source Award to L-3 Sonoma

Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee purchase order, inclusive of all subsequent required modifications, on a sole-source basis to L3 Sonoma (L3). The requirement is for the acquisition of support services and deliverables required to modify and outfit a government owned Spitfire gimbal with an optical communications transceiver payload in support of airborne optical communications demonstrations. All work performed under this requirement is unclassified in nature. The estimated aggregate contract value is $6,000,000. This contract will be awarded under the authority of the attached draft J&A. The applicable NAICS Code is 541715 and the business size standard is 1,000 employees. Be advised that the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding. This notice is not a request for competitive quote; however, any firm believing that they can fulfill the requirement of providing these services may be considered by the agency. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis, and must clearly show the firms ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of services provided.
