Full Description

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) on behalf of the DOD, Army Material Command, intend to award a sole source purchase order to Inside Washington Publishers, Arlington, VA 22202. The contract is to provide a unique database that allows faculty, staff and students to be able to identify news on DoD people, programs, procurement and policymaking for research purposes in support of the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) mission. The government intends to solicit and negotiate the required services with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a) (ii) (B). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. However, the Government will consider all capability statements received by 10:00 A.M., 23 January 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous by the Government in future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
