The Environmental Protection Agency plans to award a sole source contract for the purchase of mixed gamma standards used to calibrate high-purity germanium detectors. This procurement falls under NAICS code 325180 and will be exclusively awarded to Eckert & Ziegler Analytics, Inc., as they are the only U.S. company that produces the required radioanalytical standards maintaining traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology through a Measurement Assurance Program compliant with ANSI N42.22-1995. This traceability is essential to meet EPA accreditation requirements, including NELAP and NAREL QAM. No solicitation or request for quotes will be issued for this procurement, but companies believing they can meet the requirements may submit their capabilities by the specified response deadline. All inquiries regarding this Notice of Intent must be directed exclusively via email to the contracting officer, Tanya Brice, by the stated deadline. Phone calls or voicemail messages will not receive responses. The intent of this action is to formally notify the industry of the sole source justification and provide an opportunity for potential capability submissions, though the award is intended for Eckert & Ziegler due to their unique qualifications and sole ownership of the required standards.
