The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science plans to award a five-year multiple award IDIQ contract to four preselected suppliers—Nuclear Medicine Solutions, iThemba Laboratory, Arronax, and Nordion—to support the production of medical isotopes. This contract specifically addresses the DOE's Isotope Program needs for target materials used to produce Strontium-82 and Germanium-68, which supplement isotope generation from DOE's linear accelerators. The procurement will be conducted under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), meaning the government intends to negotiate directly with these four sources without a competitive solicitation at this stage. This notice serves as an announcement of intent rather than a solicitation for proposals, and no formal solicitation is available. Interested parties may submit capability statements and pricing information within 15 business days from the notice's publication to be considered. However, any decision to open the requirement for competition based on these submissions remains at the government's sole discretion. The primary focus of received information will be to help determine if a competitive process should be pursued.
