The National Park Service, Chamizal National memorial intends to award a contract for the artistic restoration of the iconic mural titled "Nuestra Herencia" (Our Inheritance). This mural was first painted in 1992 and restored in 1997 by Carlos Flores of El Paso, Texas. The mural has suffered significant deterioration in the 15+ years since the restoration and must be redone, not just restored.
