The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), on behalf of the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) under the authority of FAR part 6.302-1, it is the Governments intent to award a sole source contract to Ceramatec Inc. of 2425 S. 900 W, Salt Lake City, UT for the further development to design, test and evaluate a breadboard device first in vitro, then in vivo with animals. This development is for Ceramatecs adjustable rate transdermal drug delivery system hollow micro-needles and micro pump. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document exists and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no challenges are received by 10:00am, EST, March 20, 2009, USAMRAA will proceed with the sole source contract without publishing a solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to contact@example.gov no later than time and date noted above.
