Full Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO J. WALTER, INCORPORATED. Contractor name and address is J. Walter, Incorporated, 810 Day Hill Road, Windsor, CT 06095. The duration of performance is a 12-month base year with four (4) one-year options. Dollar value of the award is not expected to exceed $29,000.00. This contract provides for services and repairs to the government owned thirteen (13) Bio Circle Parts Cleaners by J. Walter Surface Service Technicians who are trained to support this equipment. Only one responsible source and no other service providers will satisfy the government Requirements. The contract type is firm fixed price. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror’s ability to meet all requirements. The government will consider all EOIs received prior to 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis before 12:00 noon pacific standard time on that date. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. EOIs sent via the U.S. Postal Service should be mailed to Regional Contracting Office, MCI-West, P. O. Box 1609, Oceanside, CA 92051-1609. EOIs sent via Federal Express or hand carried must be delivered to the Regional Contracting Office, MCI-West, Building 22180, Camp Pendleton, CA 92055 during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The anticipated award date is 22 May 2013.
