This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or a request for offers. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, Kisatchie National Forest, intends to issue a sole source award to Helifire, LLC dba Field Support Services (FSS) for 50 boxes of Plastic Spheres for Aerial Ignition (Dragon Eggs) for use by the USDA Forest Service located at Shreveport Highway, HWY 71, Pineville, LA 71360.


This purchase will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106‑1(b), which permits sole source awards when only one responsible source is capable of providing the required supplies or services at the necessary level of quality because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized.
