Full Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Raytheon Company, McKinney, TX a modification to contract M67854-06-C-6002 for the M1A1 .50 Cal Thermal Sight. The purpose of the modification is to procure 73 units for the Australian Army. This will add an FMS line item to the original contract. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A written should be submitted that must include evidence of the respondent's ability to support the proposed requirement. NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Interested parties with the capability of meeting the proposed requirements are requested to provide an e-mail to the MCSC point of contact, Stasia Baker at contact@example.gov no later than 1400 (2:00 p.m. EST) on June 25, 2009. The e-mail should! provide the interested party's capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
