--Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source procurement for Wireless Mobile Computer Language Labs, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Bragg, North Carolina intends to award, on a sole source basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, a contract to Earthwalk Communications, Inc. for the Smar t Cart Express 8x8, 8 Bay Wireless Mobile Computer Labs. The computer labs are unique to Earthwalk's specific product and manufacturer. The Smart Cart Express is a tool used to conduct language training for rapid deployment, even in a non-traditional cla ssroom environment such as the field, and is needed to satisfy mission requirements. Failure to purchase these items would decrease training effectiveness and limit training to locations with an available computer lab. This is not a Request for Competiti ve Proposals. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
