--NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE ? Spacesaver Mobile Shelving Upgrade

The Department of Energy (DOE) intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price award to a single source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i)(ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, Patterson Pope. This requirement is for the upgrade to existing Spacesaver EC200 High Density Mobile Shelving located at the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Scientific and Technical Information in Oak Ridge, TN. Based on market research, Patterson Pope is the only authorized vendor to service Spacesaver equipment in the East Tennessee area. DOE intends to award this requirement as a sole source to Patterson Pope. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 337214 - Office Furniture (except Wood) Manufacturing with the size standard of 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes. Any vendor who believes it is capable of meeting the DOE-OSTI's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which will be considered only if received by March 30, 2017 by 5:00 pm EST. Responses to this posting must be in writing and submitted to contact@example.gov by 5:00 pm local time. A determination not to compete the proposed order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
