AI Contract Overview
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a succeeding lease for medical office space in Clifton Park, New York, through a non-competitive procurement process under FAR 6.302-1, citing that only one responsible source can meet the agency's requirements. This lease will replace an existing expiring arrangement for the Veterans Health Administration and is focused on approximately 6,810 usable square feet within a defined area bordered by Warren, Schenectady, Washington, and Fulton counties. The lease term is set for a full 10 years, composed of a 5-year firm term and a 5-year soft term. The space includes 19 total parking spots, of which 17 are surface spaces and 2 are ADA compliant reserved spots. While this notice does not request competitive quotes or solicitations, the government remains open to considering alternative spaces if they are economically advantageous, factoring in relocation costs and disruption. Interested parties who believe they can satisfy the criteria must submit detailed written notifications by April 7, 2026, including information on the building, available space measurements, ownership and representation details, and parking availability. Submissions will be evaluated, but the government reserves the discretion to proceed with a sole source lease if no viable alternatives are identified. Tammy Buckwalter, Leasing Contract Specialist, is the designated contact for responses.
