NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD (SOLE SOURCE)

1. Synopsis of the Requirement


The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract/purchase order to:

It is the belief of the Government that this organization is the sole source to fulfill the need of one responsible source to satisfy the agency's requirement. (See attached justification [JOTFOC]).


2. Regulatory and Statutory Authority


This sole-source contracting action is conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Class Deviation / Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) guidelines.


Under the RFO, simplified procedures for commercial acquisitions are consolidated under RFO FAR Part 12 [specifically RFO FAR 12.201-1 (Simplified procedures) and RFO FAR 12.102(a) for acquisitions valued at or below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold].


The statutory and regulatory authorities permitting other than full and open competition are:

The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive solicitation for future requirements regarding this program. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
