The Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific plans to issue a sole source modification to increase the ceiling on an existing firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for AN/FPN-68A Precision Approach Radar (PAR) system hardware. This modification will add up to $2,000,000 to the contract’s ceiling to support hardware procurement including transmit/receive modules, waveform generators, up converters, circuit card assemblies, power supplies, and electromechanical relays. The procured hardware is intended to maintain compatibility and interoperability with current AN/FPN-68A operating systems and is aligned with NAICS code 334511, covering instruments manufacturing. The contract supports requirements at Air Force Bases and Foreign Military Sales locations, with funding applied on a task order basis. The contract, identified as N66001-20-D-3434, includes an ordering period that can extend through July 23, 2024, if all options are exercised. The Navy has determined that only one responsible source can meet the agency’s needs, and no other suppliers or services will fulfill the requirements, leading to this sole source modification. While this notice signals intent to increase the contract ceiling, it is not a solicitation for competitive proposals, nor does it limit future acquisition methods. Any questions regarding the modification can be directed to the designated contract specialists at NIWC Pacific.
