Notice of Intent to Increase the Ceiling on N66001-13-C-4046

This is a Notice of intent to increase the ceiling of Contract N66001-13-C-4046 awarded on behalf of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Information Innovation Office (I2O) on 27 September 2013 for a 24-month base period, and two, 12-month option periods. The effort under the contract is in support of the DARPA I2O Program, Vetting Commodity IT Software and Firmware (VET) and involves development and creation of a tool for automatically discovering malicious functionality in software. The performer, GrammaTech, is currently under contract to perform research in the areas of static code analysis and abstract behavior models in order to address current state-of-the-art weaknesses dealing with sound models versus scalability. Under this additional effort, the contractor shall further perform decompilation research that will increase precision of the analysis being explored in the VET program. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541712 Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology). Due to the nature of Research and Development efforts, DARPA could not have reasonably estimated the results and additional needs for the research under this program. This action includes a ceiling increase of approximately $350,000.
