The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) currently occupy 6,078 usable square feet (USF) of office and related space located at 2909 Aviation Way, West Columbia, SC 29170. NOAA plans to negotiate a succeeding lease at this location; the lease requirements for amount and type of space are the same as those in the current lease. NOAA will consider alternative space only if economically advantageous. Offered space shall not be on more than one floor and must be contiguous. NOAA also requires a minimum of 500 square feet of ground space to locate an emergency power generator, fuel tank, antennas and other operational equipment. As part of its financial evaluation and analysis the Government will include move and replication costs not limited to; physical moving costs and labor hours, site preparation and other improvements to meet the National Weather Service programmatic requirements along with other related costs. All offered space must comply with the requirements of the Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Standards. Space located in the 100-year flood plain will not be considered.
