Notice of Intent to Negotiate: Proof of Concept (PoC) Location Based Digital Assistant

The Port of Seattle intends to negotiate a contract with Hello Lamp Post for a Proof of Concept project to implement a Location-Based Digital Assistant at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This pilot program aims to evaluate the use of an AI-powered virtual assistant, accessible via location-specific QR codes, to provide passengers with real-time, self-service information and enhance the overall customer experience. The software-only solution is designed to integrate with Atrius mapping systems and operate as a 24/7 tool. The project is scheduled to run for a maximum of 12 months with a not-to-exceed cost of 44,756 dollars, excluding Washington State sales tax. The primary objective of the pilot is to analyze passenger interaction data, participation rates, and chat logs to determine the system's effectiveness in addressing information gaps and improving user satisfaction. Performance will be evaluated based on adoption levels and the relevance of the AI-generated insights. As this is a pre-contractual Notice of Intent to Negotiate, the process is exploratory and non-competitive, requiring interested firms to submit an Expression of Interest by August 6, 2026. All submissions must comply with the Washington State Public Records Act and exclude any sensitive security or personally identifiable information.
