Notice of Intent to Sole Source

NOTICE OF INTENT The 338thSpecialized Contracting Squadron (SCONS) intends to award a one (1) month (plus one (1) month option) sole-source bridge contract to Abacus Technology Corporation, 5454 Wisconsin Ave Ste 1100, Chevy Chase MD 20815-6935 to continue providing Air Education & Training Command (AETC) Directorate of Communications (A6) Information Technology Communication Services - Configuration Management Technicians at JBSA Randolph TX. Abacus Technology Corporation is the only source reasonably available and capable of immediately performing the required services on the anticipated contract start date, 3 Feb 14, due to already having qualified personnel in place and performing the required services. The purpose of the bridge contract is to prevent a lapse in service until a new competitive contract is awarded under the Army CHESS Information Technology Services-Small Business (ITS-SB) Multiple Award Contract (MAC). The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation for offers. However, all responses received by 22 Jan 2014, 3:00 PM CST will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
