NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE GAS SERVICE PRODUCT SERVICE CODE: S111 - UTILITIES - GAS NAICS CODE: 221210 - Natural Gas Distribution 1150 PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Dzilth-NA-O-Dith-Hle Health Center, 6 Road 7586, Bloomfield, NM 87413 THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS This notice is published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This acquisition will sole source the Gas Service to NEW MEXICO GAS COMPANY, INC. The location is at the Dzilth-NA-O-Dith-Hle Health Center, 6 Road 7586, Bloomfield, NM 87413, which is considered a rural area. The Government's requirement is to have gas services at the facility as it has a direct impact on patient care. The vendor is the only organization uniquely qualified to provide the required gas services to Dzilth-Na-O-Dith-Hle Health Center. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no solicitation available for competing proposals. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 221210 - Natural Gas Distribution 1150. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
