Notice of Intent to Sole Source Gaumard Trauma Mannequin

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Carson, Colorado intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Gaumard Scientific Company for Gaumard HALS3201Truama Mannequin with accessories in support of the10th Special Forces Group (SFG). This is a sole source procurement using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures authority at 13.106-1(b)(1): for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 3 days from the date of the publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed below. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Gaumard Scientific Company. Requirement Details: 10th Special Forces Group (SFG), Fort Carson, CO has a requirement is for Brand name trauma manikin from Gaumard HAL S3201 and amputation accessories which is manufactured by Gaumard simulators for health care education and serve as the brand name source for this equipment need by 10th SFG (A) Surgeon for CONUS and OCONUS operations.
