The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Information Technology Services Office (ITSO) within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), hereby announces its intent to issue a sole source contract in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 to Comcast Cable Communications, 6200 The Corners Parkway, Suite 200, Norcross, Georgia 30092-3367. ITSO has a requirement to maintain an integrated Community Antenna Television or Cable Television and high speed internet data circuits (CATV/Data) solution for as many as sixteen (16) buildings spread among three of CDCs metro Atlanta campuses. A sources sought notice was posted on the Government Point of Entry on 12/19/2018 under the title, "Internet and Television Services for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, GA." No responsive vendors were able to meet the technical requirements as defined in this notice. As such, the Government is continuing with a sole source procurement to Comcast. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1, "Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required." Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are encouraged to submit to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the posting date of this notice, their written capabilities statement, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Please forward the capability statement and/or pricing information to Mr. Le Doan, Contracting Officer, Reference 2019-29460, Centers for Disease Control, Office of Acquisition Services, via email to kuj3@cdc.gov. All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to an award of a federal contract. The website is: www.sam.gov. The Government will review any/all capabilities statements and pricing information submitted and determine if other qualified sources do exist that could provide this requirement. Information received in response to this announcement will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days, negotiations will be conducted with Comcast, as the only source and a contract will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
