Notice of Intent To Sole Source Motorola Radio

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution Seagoville, 2113 North Highway 175, Seagoville, Texas, 75159 intends to award a sole source procurement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Motorola Solutions, 7031 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia, MD 21046-2289, for the provision of fifteen (15) Motorola Radio XTS 500. The NAICS Code is 334220. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. Other vendors who believe they can meet the requirement may provide written notification to the contracting officer by 3:00 PM CST, August 12, 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in detail to demonstrate the ability of the vendor to supply the goods that will meet the requirement in a satisfactory manner. Vendor must provide quote in writing and show competition would be advantageous to the government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Interested firms must provide a Capability Statement with the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone and Fax Number, Email Address, Business Size, and DUNS Number. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Motorola Solutions. Responses may be mailed only by the deadline stated above. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
