Notice of Intent to Sole Source TS EMPIRE STATE Boiler Main Feed Pump Repairs

The U.S. Maritime Administration intends to acquire on a Sole Source basis from COFFIN TURBO PUMP INC (DBA CARTER PUMP DIVISION), 326 SOUTH DEAN STREET, ENGLEWOOD, NJ 07631-4138, services to provide and install Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts for the No. 2 boiler main feed pump on the Training Ship EMPIRE STATE (TSES) at the vessel's layberth, State University of New York, #6 Pennyfield Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465. COFFIN TURBO PUMP INC is the OEM and, as such, maintains a unique ability to provide replacement parts and service the equipment to comply with the original design specifications in order to achieve maximum performance reliability, durability and safe operation of this high speed rotating equipment. This notice is not a request for proposals/quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirements by emailing their Capability Statement (CS) or faxing the CS to 757-322-5858 by 1430 ET, March 26, 2012. Capability statements must include documentation establishing the ability to satisfy the Government's requirements. Any information received will be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. Interested persons should identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer.
