Full Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with CA, Inc., 2291 Wood Oak Drive, Herndon, VA, 20171 and its' authorized resellers to renew CA software maintenance from Delivery Order SS00-13-30368, get an increase in mainframe software-capacity level, get a CA support manager, training, and services for specific existing projects. The authority for this acquisition is set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(c) "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". The acquisition will be a sole source as Chicago Soft, Ltd. is the only source known to the Government that sells the MVS/Quick-Ref software products and maintenance. The Government anticipates award of a single, firm-fixed priced contract with a 6-month base period and five 1-year option periods. The period of performance will be from 03/31/2018 to 03/30/2023. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
