This contract modification exercises the first option period of the Souther Regional Research Center Operations and Maintenance Contract, extending the period of performance through September 30, 2019. It awards CLIN 101 for routine work, providing operation and maintenance support services at a firm fixed price of $1,419,334.18 for the specified duration. Additionally, CLIN 102 covers additional operation and maintenance services funded via task orders, with a maximum cumulative amount not to exceed $1,000,000 during this option period. The modification also updates the contract to incorporate the current Department of Labor Wage Determinations applicable throughout the option period. The total award amount for routine services in Option Year 1 is increased by $8,968.48 due to adjustments required under the Fair Labor Standards Act and Service Contract Labor Standards, bringing the adjusted option price to $1,413,334.18. Consequently, the overall contract value rises from the base year amount of $1,390,461.14 to a total of $2,803,795.35. The modification further integrates several Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses related to bonds and pledges of assets, including those on additional bond security, performance and payment bonds, pledges of assets, irrevocable letters of credit, and subcontractor bonding requirements, to ensure compliance and performance assurance during the contract's extended period.
