Notice of Upcoming Solicitation: Paratransit Eligibility Assessment Services

The San Mateo County Transit District plans to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP 26-S-S-029) in late October or early November 2025 to procure Paratransit Eligibility Assessment Services. The selected contractor will be responsible for conducting eligibility determinations to authorize individuals for paratransit transportation services. These services will include processing paper applications accompanied by telephone interviews and medical verifications as necessary, as well as in-person interviews that incorporate functional testing when required. The contract is anticipated to have a five-year base period with the possibility of up to four additional one-year option extensions, subject to the Board of Directors’ approval. Vendors interested in submitting proposals must register on the agency’s procurement portal, PlanetBids, and participate in a mandatory virtual pre-proposal conference. The services must comply with ADA Title II requirements, ensuring accessibility and proper functional assessments of applicants.
